Welcome to the refugee film festival, which coincides with the 59 anniversary of the plight of Palestine, as part of the role of the cultural sector in reviving this important anniversary. This Film Festival comes as an extension of Film Festivals and weeks of specialized organized by Al Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque.
After the image of the Palestinian in Israeli cinema, and the image of the Israeli in the Palestinian cinema, and films about migrant issues, today we open an important political and humanitarian issue.
The Problem of refugees is one of the most important political and humanitarian issue in the world, with the specificity of the Palestinians; particularly the issue of the refugees is the main axis of the Palestinian national struggle.
Al Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque raises this issue, and opens the door to dialogue by showing 12 films from Palestine, Lebanon, Canada, Africa, throughout the entire week, from May 30-24, showing the films in Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus and Jenin.
Refugee Film Festival... The opportunity to learn and dialogue.
Al Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque would like to thank Konrad Adenauer Stiftung for their support, and also we thank Al-Najah National University, the Center for Creativity Dheisheh Camp, The Arab American University for their cooperation with us in organizing this festival, and we thank the directors and the distribution companies, who have provided us with their movies to participate in the festival.
